Notice of Public Outreach: Draft PATH 2050 MTP Comment Period

The Terre Haute Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (THAMPO) requesting public comment on the Prepare and Advance Terre Haute 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) The MTP discusses the multi-modal transportation system in Vigo County, including roadways, transit, bike/ped facilities, and more. This plan will guide federal transportation funding to plan and implement transportation improvements for the THAMPO region through 2050. 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan

The MTP identifies the long-range strategies and actions to be carried out over the next 20 years for contiured development of the integrated multimodal transportation system in the West Central Indiana Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). Development of the plan is a cooperative effort between the MPO, local officials and stakeholders, the state department of transportion, and the public. The 2045 MTP was originally adopted by the Transportation Policy Committee on Sep 28, 2018. The 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan - Addendum updates the plan adopted in 2018 to relfect the most recent available estimates and assumptions through 2045 for population, land use, travel, employment, congestion, economic activity, and funding. This addendum was adopted on July 19, 2023.
